Head lice are tiny insects that live on the scalp. They are not dangerous, but they can be annoying. They are most often found in classrooms and daycare centres, and they spread mainly through direct hair-to-hair contact. To get rid of head lice, you have to get organized. That's what the documents referenced on this page will help you do.
Anyone can catch head lice. Click on the link below to access a brochure that will tell you everything you need to know about lice and how to get rid of them:
Lice, lice, lice... a brochure published by the Ministère de la santé et des services sociaux du Québec
Be careful never to use animal products to treat lice in humans. Animal products may not be effective, and they may even be bad for your health!
