Drug and alcohol consumption among Montréal high school students

Drug and alcohol consumption among Montréal high school students

Evolution from 2010-2011 to 2016-2017

A research from the Public Health Departement of Montréal (DRSP)

Thanks to the second survey of the Québec Health Survey of High School Students (QHSHSS) conducted in 2016-2017, an analysis of the results was used to drap up an updated profile of the situation in Montréal.

The good news is that High school students drink less alcohol and consume fewer drugs than they did 5 years ago. This is especially true for Montréal, compared to the rest of the province.

The public health department hopes that this new profile contributes to ongoing efforts of all stakeholders involved in prevention of alcohol and drug use among young people in Montréal.
