E. coli infection

The Public Health Agency of Canada is advising individuals in Ontario and Québec to avoid eating romaine lettuce and salad mixes containing romaine lettuce until more is known about the E. coli outbreak and the cause of contamination. Pregnant women, those with weakened immune systems, young children and older adults are most at risk for developing serious complications should they get infected with E. coli.
