To better meet the nutritional needs of various clienteles living in long-term care facilities (CHSLD), the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Nord-de-l’Île-de-Montréal CIUSSS) and Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) have reached an agreement to develop recipes for CHSLD.
Gaétan Barrette, the Minister of Health and Social Services, Hélène David, the Minister responsible for Higher Education and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, and Liza Frulla, Director General at ITHQ, made the announcement as part of a project that got underway last year and which looks food available in CHSLD.
Under this agreement, and through its Centre d’expertise en tourisme, hôtellerie et restauration, ITHQ has committed to developing 40 recipes adapted to the Asian, Mediterranean and Caribbean communities.
