Interpreters assist Syrian refugees

Image

In Montréal, 60 Arabic-speaking interpreters are available to welcome Syrian refugees. Through their language skills and dedication, the interpreters have helped make refugees’ arrival in Québec a positive experience. Interpreters are there during refugees’ physical and psychosocial exams, helping caregivers and refugees understand each other.

Since 1993, the regional interpretation service has been an asset to the health and social services network as caregivers deliver services to allophones.
