The role of family doctors
A family doctor takes care of a person’s overall health. The doctor’s role is to help you improve your health and stay healthy, prevent diseases, evaluate and treat occasional illnesses and medical problems, and manage chronic health problems, while respecting your values.
In addition, if you need specialized care, your family doctor works closely with other health professionals and refers you to various specialists.
